The Literary Routes through the Province of Jaén are complemented by a series of activities and events that allow one to delve deeply into historical events and the life and work of the writers that make up the itinerary.
Events and Conferences
There are up to six outstanding events in the province to fully immerse yourself in the cultural and artistic heritage of Jaén through the writers that make up the literary route.
Events that revive medieval times to pay homage to Jorge Manrique in Segura de la Sierra and Chiclana de Segura; others that delve into the mystical knowledge of Saint Teresa of Jesus and San Juan de Cruz in Beas de Segura; cultural tributes to Antonio Machado in Baeza; or live re-enactments of the Civil War such as the Battle of Lopera.
Any of them is an excellent pretext to visit the literary places linked to these authors and enjoy the event itself.
